A project titled “Coding for Girls” has been undertaken in a joint initiative by Shakti Foundation, a leading national NGO, and Oculin Tech BD Ltd, one of the renowned Information Technology companies, to further strengthen Digital Bangladesh and to create a skilled future generation. Initially, the training program will be run in two schools namely, Lalpur Nazrul Islam High School in Titas Upazila in Cumilla and Srinivasdi Government Primary School in Araihazar Upazila in Narayangonj. Girl students of classes 10 to 12 will be trained in basic computer operation, graphic designing, web development, and programing language (coding) under this program. A colorful inauguration ceremony was held on 10th October 2022 at Lalpur Nazrul Islam High School to start the project.

Mr. A.T.M. Morshed, Upazila Nirbahi Officer of Titas, Cumilla graced the ceremony as the Chief Guest, while Ms. Anwara Chowdhury, Upazila Secondary Education Officer, and Mr. Md. Bashir Ullah, Headmaster, Lalpur Nazrul Islam High School were present as Special Guests. The inaugural ceremony was presided over by Lt. General Md. Moinul Islam (retd.). The objective of the program was presented by Ms. Humaira Islam, Ph.D., Founder and Executive Director of Shakti foundation, and Ms. Yeasmin Akhtar, HR Head of Oculin Tech BD Ltd. Twenty girls from the first batch of the training were also present.
